Views from the trail between Big Meadow and Echo Lake

Looking north from the southerly most point of the trail, 15 miles south of Lake Tahoe which is barely visible. It's hard to believe we started at the mountains on the distant horizon

On the trail we encountered a couple using goats as pack animals. Never heard of this before.

That's us at the boat dock at Echo Lake. We're hoping to catch a boat ride two miles up the lake.
